Everybody needs a lift every now and then
The sixth edition of the Citation Special Olympics Airlift is in the (log)book but the memories are still very much alive for all involved. Visit the About Us section of our website for pictures and an inspiring video showcasing the 2010 event.
The sixth Citation Special Olympics Airlift organized by Cessna took place on Saturday, July 17 and Saturday, July 24 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Thanks to the work of hundreds of volunteers, we touched the lives of 800 athletes across the country. The photographs and video show why we do this: seeing the athletes' smiling faces is a heartwarming experience.
The Citation Special Olympics Airlift is a remarkable event that lifts everyone involved to a gold-medal mood. Coordinating the Airlift is a labor of love for Cessna and it's a way for Citation customers to give a special experience to some very special people. The bond developed between pilots and passengers is hard to describe – you need to experience it to understand the magnitude of what has become the largest peacetime airlift in the world.
